National Talent Search Exam (NTSE)
NCERT runs a National Talent Search Exam, which is knowns as NTSE for class X students. This examination is consist of Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Ability Test (SAT). In this scholarship an amount of Rs. 500/- paid per month for all the qualifying students studying in Class XI onwards (irrespective of class/course) except for Ph.D. In Ph.D. its paid as per UGC norms.
Recent scheme of NTSE scholarship is given to the students who are pursuing courses in sciences and social sciences and up to doctoral level. Also in professional courses like medicine and engineering up to second-degree standard subject to the fulfillment of the conditions.
